SIGWEB

International Conference on Web Studies

In cooperation with SIGWEB

The International Conference on Web Studies (WS) is a multidisciplinary forum that examines the World Wide Web as an object of research and inquiry. It brings together perspectives from computer science, information science, media and communication studies, sociology, digital humanities, design, the arts, and other disciplines to investigate the technologies, structures, practices, and cultures that shape the Web.

Web Studies takes a broad view of the Web and its role across different domains of life. The conference provides a forum for exploring the Web from technical, social, cultural, and creative perspectives, considering its components as data structures and algorithmic processes as well as interfaces, forms of communication, cultural practices, and artistic expression. Through this interdisciplinary approach, Web Studies encourages exchange between different research traditions concerned with understanding the Web and its continuing evolution.

Proceedings

Proceedings of WS will be published in the ACM Digital Library.
