Hypertext 2008
June 19-21, 2008 -
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
In 2007, we celebrated the 20th anniversary
of the ACM Conference on Hypertext and Hypermedia series which is the
acknowledged venue for high quality peer-reviewed research on linking.
The web, the semantic web and Web 2.0 are all manifestations
of the success of the link. The Hypertext Conference provides
the forum for research that considers links, their semantics, their presentation,
the applications they have been put to, the knowledge that can be derived
from their analysis and their effect on society. If information is connected,
then the connection is called a link: the Hypertext Conference is
concerned with all research concerning links.
Hypertext 2008 will be an exciting and intellectually stimulating conference.
The event will feature more than 30 papers, posters, demos, and workshops
focusing on key conference themes:
Our keynote speakers will examine leading edge subjects in the linkage
field. Make sure to attend the keynote presentations by Bernardo
Huberman of HP Labs and Prof.
Jon Kleinberg of Cornell University. For more information
about the sessions, please visit our schedule.
Take time to enjoy more than just the academic sessions. Join
us for receptions, dinners, and social outings to see the Pittsburgh
Symphony Pops featuring world-renown trumpeter Chris Botti. For
more details about potential social events, please click here.
This website is designed to help you register for the conference, arrange
for your travel and accommodations, and plan your time in Pittsburgh
during the conference. If you cannot find the information that you require

members, who shall be more than happy to help.
