Symposium Overview

The International Symposium on Wikis (WikiSym) is the premier conference devoted to research and practice on wikis - lightweight, open, collaborative systems for recording and refining ideas and information. WikiSym aims to explore and extend the thriving wiki community, bringing together researchers, practitioners, writers and scholars to gather, discuss and share knowledge and experience on all areas related to wikis and the wiki philosophy, ranging from social to technical, and from foundational to experience studies. The Symposium offers a rigorously reviewed research paper track, as well as plenty of space for practitioner reports, discussion of work in progress, demonstrations, tutorials, and informal but lively OpenSpace and WikiFest sessions.
