Salzburg Research
Salzburg Research is a research institute working in the area of information and communication technologies. Salzburg Research is owned by the county of Salzburg, Austria, and it employs around 65 people. With respect to Hypermedia, our research is focused in the following groups and themes:
Software Technologies and Architectures (STAG): this group is involved in Web Engineering, and, software frameworks for trail-based applications;
Knowledge-based information systems (WIS): the WIS group's research is centered around the vision of smart content, i.e., how can knowledge-based media rich artefacts be created, shared and traded as media assets;
Salzburg NewMediaLab (SNML): SNML is Austria's industrial competence center on New Media Technologies. It focuses on Content Engineering, more particular on combining knowledge-based technologies with content management systems;
Edu-Media: within the application domain Educational Media, we focus on the support of learning and work processes with hypermedia technologies.
