The 24th ACM Conference on User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalization (UMAP) will take place on 13-17 July 2016 in  Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. UMAP is the oldest conference series focused on personalization and user modeling. This year, it is collocated and will follow the 27th ACM Conference on Hypertext and Social Media (HT). The conference will feature topics falling into 5 main research areas: User Modelling for Recommender Systems, Adaptive & Personalized Educational Systems, Personalization in the Social Web & Crowdsourcing Era, Adaptive, Intelligent, & Multimodal User Interfaces, Architectures, techniques & methodologies for UMAP. The conference will host 9 cutting edge workshops and 3 keynote speakers: Lada Adamic - Facebook, Sandra Carberry - University of Delaware, and Hossein Derakhshan - an Iranian-Canadian author and blogger (shared speaker with HT).
