Link Key

Hypermedia systems often have the concept of link 'types'. These types imbue a link with a meaning based on the current text and the target text. The Web does not conventionally support such typed links but we have attempted to increase the semantics of each link by defining four types that are not part of the menuing system (structural). Their colours can be found below.

Supporting Referential Links (look light blue)
Refuting Referential Links (look light red)
Supporting Associative Links (look light green)
Refuting Associative Links (look light pink)
All Visited Links (look light yellow)

You'll see we use background colour changes to denote links and not the conventional underlines due to work by Obendorf and Weinreich.
